SLIDE FLOOR REPLACEMENT IN OUR 2007 ALLEGRO BUS

Tiffin 2007 Allegro Bus Driver’s Slide Floor Replacement

March 2013.

In March of 2013, we needed to have our Driver’s Slide Floor replaced. The composition board that Tiffin used was not holding up and had started to deteriorate from the inside. Normally the floor rots from the outside. Tiffin as a goodwill policy will replace the floor at Tiffin’s cost for coaches less than 6 years old. We fell just within those guidelines, so we were able to get the floor replaced. Tiffin will also replace the carpet, if you supply the new carpet or pick out a carpet they supply. Since we did not like their supply, we went to Red Bay Carpet, 801 4th St NE, Red Bay, AL 35582 256-356-8050.

We picked out a nice multi toned brown Berber style carpet approximately the same width and length as the already installed carpet. We took it back to the bay and the techs installed the carpet. We left unbound along the edges, as Tiffin did not have a colored binding. We got Trevor Nichols to come over, he has a portable binding machine and he installed a brown edging to match the carpet. The techs know what they are doing. Do a professional job.

You must remove all the items from you lower cabinets and remove anything breakable from the upper cabinets. Just follow my photos below and you will see why. Enjoy!

Such a Photo Moment

Simon always presents such photographic moments. I had just finished reading a copy of "Roughing It Smoothly", a magazine the Tiffin Motor Homes puts out and set it aside to do something else. While you can tell what Simon thought about.

Quartzsite Craziness !!!!

What a blast we have had here at Quartzsite with the Tiffin Group. Someone counted a total of about 38 rigs. We are quite a site. Always a large group outside, lots of laughing, huge nightly fire, and as always, lot of eating and drinking.

Quartzsite is a meeting place for RVers who want to meet from all parts of the USA. Check back often for more pictures of craziness.

LEAVING ST LOUIS - HEADING WEST TO QUARTZSITE

Finally leaving St Louis !!! It's cold out here baby. The weather is still unseasonably COLD and windy. The winds have died down since yesterday. It was gusty 25-35 mph. Took "DA Bus" (that's what we have nicknamed our Allegro Bus Motor Home ) to get fuel and then back to the park to hook up the truck. Such a site. Everyone was watching. Check out our pictures.

We are heading to Quartzsite, AZ. We are meeting up with our friends, Steve and Karen, the Tiffinrvnetwork group and several thousand other RVers. Quartzsite is a place you either love or hate.

It's virtually a ghost town, that becomes a winter sun and fun place for RVers of all kinds. January starts off with the annual RV Show and then is followed by the Rock and Gem show. It's a fun place to hunt for bargains, renew friendships, and thaw out from the winter blast of cold from all over.

June thru December 2009

A lot has happened since leaving Connecticut and arriving in St Louis.

We started workamping at St Louis RV Park, located at 900 N Jefferson, just about 2 miles from the downtown area and the ARCH. It is a wonderful park and has suited us perfectly. It allowed us to work our home without being there for the mess.

Art worked this past summer, taking care of the pool, cleaning the bathrooms, and parking rigs when they arrived. I took reservations, checked campers in and out and managed the store on the day we worked. It is fun.

Check out our pictures. We saw a great rainbow this summer. They have become like family and it will be sad to leave them in January.

Welcome To Our Blog. A Record of Our Journey

A personal account of our life as RV'ers. Workamping, our way around the country. Seeing and doing exactly what we want, when we want and how we want. We travel in a "new to us" 2007 Allegro Bus 42' Motor Home made by Tiffin Motor Homes located in Red Bay, AL. Traveling along with us is our very spoiled beagle. Simon, who also does what he wants, when he wants and above all how he wants.

Disclaimer: I write for fun. I write to have a log of our adventures, friends and things we see and do. If there are some grammar blunders or spelling hurdles along the way, so be it, get over it and enjoy life. Don't sweat the small stuff.
